I confirm I have been advised to take my time when entering the water and to ensure I acclimatise before starting my swim.

I understand that under no circumstances is jumping in, diving in or running into the water allowed. A slow entry is required to ensure acclimatisation has occurred.

I acknowledge that swimmers are required to wear a swim hat so safety staff can easily spot me in the water, I also understand that optionally it is recommended to use a tow float although this is not compulsory for this season.

I acknowledge that I must hand in my MEMBERSHIP CARD when I sign in and wear the numbered wrist band provided at all times when in the water.

I acknowledge that swimmers are advised to swim with a ‘buddy’ to reduce risks.

I acknowledge that I MUST stop and render assistance to any swimmer in difficulty or if instructed to do so by the safety team.

I confirm that if I am in difficulty in the water I will make my way to the nearest bank if possible and wave my arms.

I confirm that If I am in difficulty in the water and unable to make my way to the nearest bank, I will attempt to roll onto my back, relax and float.

I understand that if I am a new winter or ‘weak’ swimmer - I can stay near the bank and swim a shorter course such as to the second buoy on the circuit and back to the bank.

I acknowledge that I will advise staff of any changes in my personal details on arrival including any changes in my medical circumstances that may affect my participation on the day.

I am aware that swimming starts at the stated time - no swimmer may enter the water before this time.

I am aware that swimming finishes at the stated time - and that all swimmers must be out of the water by this time.

I acknowledge that no swimming will commence unless staff have given permission and I have signed in.

I acknowledge that I MUST sign in and BOOK & PRE PAY via the booking app before entering the water.

I acknowledge that I MUST hand in my wristband at the end of my swim and collect my MEMBERSHIP CARD.

I acknowledge that swims CAN ONLY be booked via the BOOKING APP to ensure that staff can manage numbers and safety cover appropriately.

I understand that any swim Sessions purchased are for my use only and cannot be transferred or shared with other swimmers

I agree that any SWIM CREDIT purchased to pay for future swims will expire on the LAST WINTER SWIM SESSION of the season and cannot be transferred to the following summer swim season or used on any other events or sessions.

I agree that any unused SWIM CREDIT has no CASH value and cannot be refunded if unused.

I understand that photos and videos may be taken randomly by the company for promotional purposes and posted to online media, used in brochures and otherwise available to view.

I understand that I can request for any pictures/video or other media to be removed at my request but by accessing the facilities accept it may appear online or in publicity prior to removal. It is my responsibility to request removal as the venue is a public venue and 'pre screening' is impractical and I accept this as a 'condition of use'.

I accept that injuries caused by ‘slips & trips’ such as minor cuts while entering or exiting the water on my feet/hands/legs/arms are an ‘acceptable risk’ associated with my participation and I accept these risks. I understand these are a ‘normal’ part of participation in an adventure sport in the outdoor environment

I will not hold ACTIVITIES AWAY, its agents or staff responsible for any losses, damages or injuries howsoever caused by my participation in COLD WATER SWIMMING.
